Benebones are not edible. We suggest monitoring and replacing after reasonable wear. As with any chew toy, monitor your dog’s habits closely.

Is this product dishwasher safe?

It is not recommended to wash Benebone's in the dishwasher, nor expose the product to excessive cold or heat.

Benebones should be enjoyed but not eaten. While very durable, Benebones are not a fit for very aggressive chewers who could damage the product or damage their teeth. Always monitor your pet while they're chewing to ensure the Benebone is not consumed. Please remove the toy if pieces start to break off.

A puppy would be best suited with a Benebone Puppy Pack made specifically for a teething puppy. The Puppy Benebones are smaller in size and are just a bit softer than other Benebone products.

This is essentially just giving your dog a piece of plastic. My 20 lbs terrier had worked it up within 10 mins. He was really enjoying chewing it, but since it's not meant to be eaten, I don't see how this is safe. He'd be ingesting small pieces of microplastic for sure. I wouldn't waste your money on it.

He seems to prefer the bone version over the wishbone, perhaps because it's easier to hold with his paws. This is definitely a great chewy for a dog who likes to chew but you don't want to give them rawhide.
