This supplement includes a 5 gram scoop (equals 1 tablespoon). The 7-ounce jar contains approximately 40 scoops, the 14-ounce jar contains approximately 80 scoops and the 3.5-pound jar contains approximately 320 scoops. Please refer to the chart below for an estimated length of time depending on dosage requirements:

It says that this should be taken on a full stomach, but then also administered in food. How should it be administered?

For best results, add the supplement to your dog's food by dividing it between two meals. Mix one half scoop (2.5 g) per 4.5 kg (10 lb) of body weight to a maximum of 6 scoops daily. Add to raw, moist or dry food. If desired, add water to make a gravy-like paste.

Is the MSM in this food derived from shellfish?

The MSM in this supplement is not derived from shellfish. It’s OptiMSM brand that Biologic Vet are using in the formulation – a clinically proven brand made in the USA by a distillation process and 99.9% pure.

Not for my cat

My cat hated this product. She refused to eat her food after it was mixed with it. It did not help with her coat at all.

Good product

I didn't realize my dog had a bacterial skin infection at the time, and needed an antibiotic. However, this is an excellent product.

My (former feral) cat has ongoing issues with sinus infections and sneezing (I've had him to the vets of course many times for this and he's had various medications but nothing helped much) After three weeks on this there is a steady and very noticeable decrease in his symptoms. I'll be using this for him from now on. He gets the recommended dose with some water and chicken brother and wet food stirred together.

Nothing seems to help my poor pup except Apoquel. I was hoping to get him off of it because of the dangers of it messing with his immunity and the risk of it causing cancers to grow, but I guess it's unrealistic to expect a more natural fix. I've tried so many products that didn't help. He is on a vegan diet for food allergies and is bathed regularly to keep the dust mites off. I'm halfway through the jar and see no difference so far. I will update my review if there is an improvement.

We're using this for a feral cat who has patches of fur missing and grooms nonstop. The fur that she does have is short because she's bitten it off and it's trying to regrow. After using this powder for several weeks, we've seen some improvement. It's not a 100% success, as she still grooms too often and it appears her skin still bothers her. However, it's the only non prescription remedy I've seen on Chewy for skin issues. I think it's our only option for this poor feral girl. I give the product 3 stars and an added 1 star since it's non prescription. I'd recommend if you have no other options, but I think a prescription remedy would work much better.
