I'm sharing this in case anyone else's dog is suddenly having trouble and a pattern develops. My 4 year old bordoodle has been eating this since about 1 year of age. He suddenly started vomiting a week or so ago, so I put him on rice and chicken or beef to calm his stomach down. No vomiting while on the bland diet, but twice I started trying to reintroduce the Blue Buffalo Lamb, only 1/4 cup a day added to the rice mixture, and both times he started vomiting again with the food, undigested, in the vomit! I can't help but think it's this food, and I have SIX large bags on backup. If something has changed in the formula, I'd appreciate it if the company would reach out to me. I'll revise my review if I figure anything out on this.

This dog food has given my pup many problems. As a dog who is prone to a lot of allergies, i thought i could trust blue since everyone raves about them. When i checked the ingredients and found that chicken is the second source of protein in this food when it was labeled as lamb, completely baffled me. Please do not buy this food if your dog has a sensitive tummy or stomach issues.

Annie wasn’t real excited about this food, but she ate it slowly. We wanted to change her diet up and get something with lamb instead of chicken. We tried a different brand of lamb and brown rice that she wouldn’t eat at all. So we went back to the Blue Buffalo brand to try this. But like I said , she isn’t real fond of it. So we ordered more of the chicken and rice again. She seems to prefer the chicken flavor best.

Good So Far

Had to switch up dog food because another brand that I regularly use had an issue. My dog likes this food better and it seems to digest better.

That protien and nutrition available in the Lamb & Brown rice.

Ari likes it, it's easy on her digestion (she keeps chewing things so her tummy can get upset) and I know it will be a good food for many years.

This is crazy! I fed this food for almost a year with no issues. A couple months ago the formula changed. Now they are putting chicken by product or meal or something that had my dog scratch a big hole out of the corner of her eye. She constantly tries to bite at her tail. Her once white paws are stained from constant licking. It was even having her glands leak producing a pungent fishy smell. DO NOT FEED YOUR DOG THIS FOOD. I am not a person that normally takes the time out to write a review but this food had my dog lethargic and sick with diarrhea and vomiting. I now have to throw out the bag that I got her this month and start her on a “bland diet” until her bowels are solid again before starting her on a new food. Blue buffalo has lost me as a customer for good especially after reading I’m not the only person dealing with this after the change. The one star is only because I had to otherwise it would get 0.
