I purchased this with high hopes that it would stop the scratching but maybe I am expecting too much of a cat food? I'm not sure. It brought down the scratching a little. But she does enjoy the taste. Not as much as chicken. It would be awesome if there was a chicken flavor that focused on skin health!

A huge relief for my itchy, balding cat AND me!
My cat is allergic to multiple things - including pine litter, wheat litter, and chicken. She had reached the point where she couldn't go more than 5 to 10 seconds
My cat is allergic to multiple things - including pine litter, wheat litter, and chicken. She had reached the point where she couldn't go more than 5 to 10 seconds without stopping to scratch, even when playing....and had bald patches all over her body. Baths helped a little, but nowhere near enough. Nothing helped enough until I tried this food, which has no chicken. She has only been on it 3 weeks now, and a food trial takes 6-8 weeks, but already most of her fur has grown back and she's scratching 80% less often than before. The food also makes her fur very shiny and silky, and her disposition is improving as she feels better. The one downside was that it upset her stomach during the transition, but I'm sure it was because I ran out of her old food and had to hurry the new food's introduction too fast. So I highly recommend this for allergic kitties! Just be sure to allow at least 10 days, ideally 2 weeks, to transition over if your furbaby has a sensitive stomach.
