My puppy loved the first bag of this. The 2nd bag was poor quality with lots of ground up kibbles like what you would maybe find at the bottom of a bag but it is throughout the whole batch. Something must be off with it because our puppy no longer wants to eat it. It is also hard to portion out since the kibbles should be whole and not ground up.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While looking for a high protein dog food - Blue wilderness high protein was referred to try. With a very active 2 year old heeler and 6 year doberman with very high activity level. They need the highest protein level foods to keep weight on. We got the Blue wilderness high protein large breed puppy. It has 35% crude protein. Along with the first ingredients being deboned chicken, chicken meal and salmon meal and no by products. So as we free feed our dogs, I put a bowl full out next to the food we had been using. Our dogs loved it! They preferred it over what we had been feeding. Switching went smoothly with no digestive upsets. The only downside we have found over the past month since Switching is they are a bit more gasy/stinky. I would definitely recommend giving this food a try if you're looking for a good puppy food or high protein food.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Standard Poodles love the taste of this Blue Buffalo High Protein Large Breed Puppy Food. The Poodles easily switched from their current dog food to Blue Buffalo following their directions without any stomach upset. While Blue Buffalo no doubt is a good dog food, internet research statistics show that: 1) Blue Buffalo Company is only about 22 years old, 2) Blue Buffalo Company has at least 9 Food/Treat Recalls during that time period, 3) Blue Buffalo Company is expensive, 4) Blue Buffalo Company has falsely claimed to have ingredients in their foods that are not really in there, 5) Blue Buffalo Company has included byproducts in their foods, when they claim no byproducts in their food. Two other large dog food companies have been around long enough to do extensive research on their foods. One company is 80 years old, the other is well over 100 years old. Neither of these companies come anywhere near the number of recalls that Blue Buffalo has had. My decision is to stay with the food that I know is good for my Poodles. I like that they have over 100 years experience. To me, that’s something I can trust and I’m also saving money! So no, I would not recommend Blue Buffalo to my friends. My Poodles and I live in Southern Illinois and have been a Chewy member for many years. Chewy is by far the best pet food company, which I highly recommend, I have used and I’ve had pets for over 50 years.
