Is the 40lb bag resealable?

At the moment, the only resealable option is the 16-pound bag. The 28-pound bags come with built-in handles to make pouring easier, but they are not resealable. The 40 lb bag does not include a resealable feature or handle and comes as a standard sack.

You have to completely empty out the litter box every month and clean it with this litter?

The usual routine is to keep the litter box filled with 3-4 inches of fresh litter daily. The exact amount of litter you need can change based on the size of the box, how many cats use it, and how often they go. For larger litter boxes or multiple cats, you may need to add more litter to maintain the recommended depth.

I have 2 cats, who mostly use a Litter Robot, but we also have an analog box as a backup. Despite what the People of the Internet say, Boxie ain't it for the Litter Robot (Dr. Elsey's is the best I've found so far), but it worked great in our non-automatic box. The past two bags we've purchased have been awful. As others have stated, the color is different and the smell is awful. I've also noticed that the clumping is somehow slower and harder, resulting in long, flat, rock hard clumps that are nearly impossible to scoop.

I’ve had this self-cleaning litter box for a while now, and I honestly don’t know how I lived without it. It keeps the litter fresh on its own, and I barely ever smell anything anymore. My cat took to it right away, and it’s been working perfectly since day one. The best part is how low maintenance it is. I no longer have to scoop every day, just empty the waste bin when it’s full, and that’s it. Cleanup takes maybe 30 seconds. It also keeps the area so much cleaner and helps with dust. If you’re tired of scooping or dealing with odors, this is 100% worth the money. I highly recommend it to any cat owner who wants something reliable, clean, and super easy. My only regret is not buying it sooner!

This litter is highly recommended on the litter robot reddit. I purchased it due to issues with previous litter clinging to paws and the sides of the LR. This litter smells horrendous when waste hits it. Opening the waste drawer makes me dry heave. Its not a smell ive ever smelled with litter so I think its the "probiotics." Will not be purchasing again after this bag is done. For reference, the LR had just been deep cleaned

Due to high usage, I needed a FAST clumping litter so they wouldn’t break all the pee clumps apart when digging. They all line up to use the same litter box in the morning. I will say, this one clumps quickly and tightly. However the odor control is ZERO! It smells like something has died in the litter box. I scoop the box multiple times a day. The other high use litter box has a different litter in it (I’m on a mission to find the “perfect” litter) and there is no odor from that one. So the smell is most certainly from the boxie pro litter.

We got a second brand of litter to try out for a week or so, and she has been gravitating to the new litter - which yields cero dust. She's made her choice and we won't be purchasing Boxiecat.

It clumps way tighter and quicker than anything else I’ve tried. I really do end up using less so the price sort of offsets itself and the ease of scooping makes it worth it. I used to buy two 20 lb jugs of tidy cat a month but can get by on a single 28lb bag of this without issues. It does track, but I care more about smell and clumping/ease of scooping so it’s not a big deal. I vacuum every day anyways and a good litter mat (I use a shaggy bath mat) helps tremendously. The cats also prefer it over tidy cat. I have two boxes and when I switched I just cleared out and replaced one and they refused to use the other one with Tidy Cat until I caved and got a second bag of Boxie.
