Can female pup still potty without having to remove the vest?

The easy release snaps allow for rolling the back of the vest forward for the pet to be able to go to the bathroom without having to remove the whole vest. Simply roll vest forward until the area needed for the pet to relieve itself is clear, tuck loose vest into elastic strap on the underside of the vest then resecure vest after the pet has done its business.

Can you put the recovery vest in the dryer?

Due to the amount of Velcro used we recommend hand washing in cool water and hanging to dry.

Do I have to take this off for my don to go to the bathroom

The material is so thin and easily ripped, that it took my dog less then three days to destroy this with his back paws that are covered in dog socks. The socks rubbed the material down so fast and it just ripped holes all over the place. Worthless vest that doesn't stop a dog from scratching or biting at all.

Thank you so much for this design. No plastic collar was so helpful and I have 2 other dogs who cant lick Mikka's incision. Again this was a Godsend!

This vest was good for our 5 month old 13lb dog with a 6 inch midline abdominal incision from a major emergency surgery to repair a congenital structural disorder. (Surprise $$$$!) That said, it does not fit well if you want to keep a dog's tongue off their hind quarters. I've found it very hard to fit dog "clothes" because of the diversity of body shapes. You really just need to try stuff on them and see. If you're looking for something for a lower torso surgery or injury, I'd stick to an inner tube or collar type device, or something with more back leg coverage.

This isn't really for the big chested skinny scoop belly with a little rump. I have a Dobermann and the section of fabric that goes between the front legs that deep chest area that wraps up and around the shoulders it's not wide enough. The snaps at the backend with the skinny rump then this doesn't snuggly fit her backend that scoop in the belly fabric kind of hangs down and wouldn't hold the incision site cozy and snug it would have just rubbed. I had gotten it for post Spay with Gastropexy which is a larger incision and longer recovery but I'll need to find a wrap or something. Dobermanns Greyhounds Great Danes Boxers etc etc big chests scooped belly and proportionally smaller rumps not a very sufficient fully snug recovery suit. I very very very much love the concept of the fabric used it's similar to scuba type stretch and using the strategy points to use the Velcro closure that allows air to be on their backs and helps them stay cooler and not claustrophobic conceptually it's fantastic just not great for abdomen surgeries and it's too short to be comfortable between their front legs

Suitable during the day however he can get at his wound where he was neutered. Could stand more Velcro to make it more adjustable. Would remove the snap buttons for Velcro. Buyer beware

My dog is between sizes, 70 lbs. After a rough night with the cone, we got him the xl for him to recover from his neuter, which was way too big. Took it back and got the large. Which seemed to fit perfectly, nice and snug. We’re nervous bellies so we added a donut ring for good measure. All seems to be well during the day. I woke up to licking at midnight to found the surgical site fully exposed and bleeding. Do not buy and expect this to give your dog actual, reliable protection.
