This mat does not feature a slip-proof backing at this time. Other methods will need to be used to prevent the mat from moving.

The mat measures 13 ¼ x 16 inches.

What is this made of? Can it easily be torn up by cats claws? Will urine seep through?

The mat is made of rubber. Depending on the determination of the cat, it can be clawed through. If a cat urinates on this mat hand wash with mild sop and water.

I should have purchased a larger mat. Washes easily and good thickness but the kitty litter rolls off of it easily. The small Ia not big enough for a small litter

My cat also has a severe bowel issue and occasionally has accidents right outside the litter box, making a litter mat a necessity for me. I’m happy with the amount of litter this Catit-brand mat is trapping and how well it’s protecting my carpet. It’s held up to rigorous cleanings and bleachings in the washing machine, which is necessary to remove bathroom accidents from the crevices. That’s a huge pro, as not every mat I’ve tried can withstand that type of cleaning. This justifies the price of the mat for me, and I highly recommend it.

My cats are messy so they still kick litter past the bounds of this small mat but it helps a lot with daily clean up and its super easy to just shake the litter
