I bought the Catit water fountain for my cat expecting clean, safe hydration. After just one day of use, I found a greasy, dark oil-like ring left behind in the container, and it looked like machine oil and felt slick and sticky. It did not wash off easily, and I can’t believe something like this is being marketed as safe for pets. If this residue is coming from the pump, it’s a serious quality and safety issue. I wouldn’t feel comfortable letting my cat drink from this again. Very disappointed and concerned.
The longest it seems to last is six months
I bought this for my cats and less than two months later I had to contact them because it wasn’t working. They sent me a new one which worked for about six months

Noisy and hard to clean
I bought this cat water fountain, and I’m not happy with it. The noise is really loud when the water runs low, which I haven’t experienced with other fountains

The filter pads also get moldy quickly and have a slimy feel, which makes my cat avoid drinking. Cleaning is a hassle, and I have to change the filters often. My cat drinks less water now. I wouldn’t recommend it.

Technically works but impossible to clean
This fountain is functional, but the design makes it extremely difficult to clean. Combined with cheap plastic, in my experience it became a petri dish very quickly

I gave our old Catit Flower away. I had ordered a dishwasher-safe stainless fountain from another brand, which I thought would be healthier than plastic and easier
I gave our old Catit Flower away. I had ordered a dishwasher-safe stainless fountain from another brand, which I thought would be healthier than plastic and easier. WRONG. Disaster. I didn't know how good I had it cleaning the Catit Flower until faced with an overcomplicated alternative that had three times as many pieces, many of which brushes couldn't penetrate. I spent a half hour cleaning that thing every week, then spent the next six days dreading having to do it again. Ordered another Catit Flower and am never looking back.
