Catit Pixi Smart 6-Meal Cat Feeder

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Upon arrival, I was really looking forward to setting up this feeder for my fully indoor, cautious feral cat who, even after 12 years with her calm and quiet humans, still startles easily while eating. Although connecting the feeder took a bit of persistence—spanning two days, several FAQ articles, and a few emails to Catit support—it was ultimately successful. (Support did respond, though their message repeated some steps I’d already tried.) After testing with four devices and three different internet sources, the feeder finally connected. Interestingly, once it made a connection with that 4th device, it works with the first device with the first internet connection. Since then, it’s been performing reliably, dispensing meals right on time. There's even a "serve next meal" option and a menu to confirm- no accidentally feeding with a clumsy finger bump.The Pixi feeder emits three soft beeps when turning to present the next bowl, and I’m hopeful that a future update might introduce a custom message or sound alert option. The tray rotation is smooth and fairly quiet. The compartment design is narrow and deep, which suits my average-sized domestic shorthair, but may be less ideal for brachycephalic breeds, cats with prominent whiskers, or larger tomcat faces. Cleaning the tray can be a bit cumbersome due to its size, but it's a manageable task and washes up easily. Adding optional plastic liner bowls would make cleanup even easier and be a welcome enhancement.
