This is not well made. Within three months of purchase, it snapped in half at the base while she was using it. I don't think a cat scratcher should break from a cat scratching on it. It degraded quickly and screws around the cardboard required frequent re-tightening. You'll never have to buy the replacement cardboard because it will break beyond repair before then.
