I have waited a good 6 months to write this as with cat trees - time will tell. We have a smaller Vesper treehouse and knew the quality would be great and I was eyeing this tree for my two cats. I was thrilled when it went on sale on Black Friday and scooped it up. My cats love it! They sit on it on it all the time to look out the window and fight for "top spot". As with the other tree though - neither like the cubby space. I'm not sure why. More recently, my one cat has learned he can scale the scratch post side to the top which is fun to watch. They use the scratch post side daily and still shows no signs of wear. The mats velcro on and off so cleaning is easy. My male cat had an aversion to them at first and they were easily removed until he got use to the tree. I would definitely buy again!
Sturdy, well-built tree. Cats love it
Yes it's pricey, but I feel like it's worth the money. I was looking for a non-carpeted tree with enough height to fill the space. And matches well with our home
Yes it's pricey, but I feel like it's worth the money. I was looking for a non-carpeted tree with enough height to fill the space. And matches well with our home in terms of design. Some of the ones I was looking at either wasn't quite tall enough, or didn't have removable padding on the platforms (which my cats need/like for grip/loafing). I really like the tri-pillar support and the wide base, which makes the tree very stable. Compared to my other cat tree of similar height, this one doesn't wobble when the cats are play-fighting at the top. And the cats seem to really like the wider scratch pillar. The only thing I wish was that the base was a single piece, rather than an hinged two-piece. But that's just more aesthetics than functionality.
