We needed a dish that would keep our 2 year old cat from "wolfing" down his meals. He would do it so fast that he would just throw it back up. This dish at first made him take a half an hour to eat all his dinner. The only minus I have is that it isn't easy to clean when you don't own a dishwasher but that is the nature of the beast with this particular dish.

My cat Obe is a glutton and he just inhales his food in under 30 seconds, but with this awesome slow feeder cat bowl, he takes at least 5 min to eat his food! I was worried Obe wouldn't be able to use it since he had to get all his teeth removed, but a cat with no teeth can still totally use it! Great product! I fully recommend!
hard for cat to use

i bought this for my cat who would eat too fast then throw up. he used this for a day before going on strike and refusing to eat at all. maybe it was him being stubborn, but i think the holes in the bowl are too deep for him to be able to eat out of it.
Smaller than expected
One of my previous cats vomited a lot. Now they have invented this bowl to make sure your cat eats slow. I bought it as prevention. Felix eats out of it just fine,

Did the job!

I got this slow feeder for my cat who loves to test her limits and eat her meals in record time. I’ve been very happy with what I’ve gotten for the price - it slows her down and has kept her from throwing up from eating too quickly. This product would’ve gotten 5 stars if the compartments were just a bit smaller as unless you strategically pack each compartment with food, it won’t slow them down all that much.
More like steady feeder

Maybe it's the nature of rescue animals... Hermes eats so fast he's always gagging. This is a great concept, but it needs to be deeper or something. He seems to eat this even faster. It definitely prolongs wet food eating, but it's almost pointless for kibble. It adds less than a minute to his eating time. Mostly because he couldn't figure out at first which space to eat out of at first. He was moving all around it. Now he eats in a pattern, so it's not much slower than from a regular bowl. Since he still ends up gagging during and after eating, it isn't helping like I hoped. Sorry for odd photos. He moves all over it, so it's the best I could get.
Too light
It's too light, my cat bit at the walls and lifted the whole thing up, causing all the food to knock out when he dropped it. He could also smack it around against

Easy to clean.
Cleans up easy and is sturdy, well made. It only slows kitty down a little though. I still like it and use it daily. For even more slowing down, I like the ball
