These treats are crunchy.
What is the sodium content of these treats?

Answer by FranchescaM • Nov 23, 2021
These treats have salt added at a very low level. Salt is about 1/3 sodium. The Cheese & Egg flavor is slightly higher in salt/sodium due to the naturally occurring salt in cheese. To ingest 1 gram of sodium, your dog would have to eat more than half a bag of treats and over a full bag of the other flavors at one time. If you are concerned about your dog's sodium intake, we recommend consulting with a veterinarian before feeding this treat.
Are these safe for dogs? Garlic powder is listed as an ingredient, but I thought garlic was toxic for dogs

Many people believe that garlic is harmful to dogs, and in large, concentrated doses this can be true. However, in the proportions that are used, it simply contributes to the flavor dogs love. Just like with humans, many things are healthy (and indeed necessary) in small doses but potentially harmful in large, concentrated doses.
Are these ok for puppies?

It's recommended to wait until at least 12 weeks of age before using any type of treat, and consulting with your veterinarian about appropriate treats for the specific breed, size and age of your puppy.
It is always important to observe your puppy when giving a treat to see if they are chewing and swallowing properly.
