Crumps' Naturals Mini Trainers Beef Freeze-Dried Dog Treats

Great treat - low calorie

My dog, and every dog in my neighborhood, loves these Crumps Naturals. They are sub-calorie per treat (they're perhaps a 1/4" cubed) you can give your dog lots of treats without loading them with unwanted calories. They fit well into a treat-ball too. I mix a half-dozen of them in with my fellows otherwise bland high-fiber digestive control dry food in a treat-ball.

Still amazing despite the size discrepancy!

Bought a bag of these back in May-June 2023 and, like others have said, the liver treats are indeed bigger, appearing to have doubled in size since then. While this is a bit disappointing as I liked how small they were, they're still tiny, one calorie per treat, and my mini dachshunds still love them all the same, so I'll keep buying.

Not any more

I used to buy these because they were 1 ingredient, were USA & 1/4 of a calorie. A wonderful selling reason when my pup required a lot of rewards to mastering things that used to scare him. I was so pleased I told one of the largest vet hospitals in the USA behavior program about these. No one offered such high quality treat with so few calories. It was the only type of treat to fit these selling points. Unfortunately they redesigned their products they are now too many calories for why I used to buy them so now I pass instead of buying 2 big bags a month.

Perfect Mini Size!

I was looking for a high-value training reward that is delicious, low-calorie, small, and suitable to put in my jacket pocket without making a mess. These liver treats are the best thing I've found! My dog absolutely loves them, and they have been a massive help in helping her become more comfortable with strangers. We can give her dozens of these treats without having to worry that she's getting too much food. I saw some other reviews complaining that the treat size changed over time, and that the treats were too big for small dogs. The bag I received in March 2023 had very small pieces, suitable for a 4-lb chihuahua that recently came to visit. The bag also states 0.17 calories per treat, as listed on the product page. Maybe they reverted to the small size that so many people (and small pups) were happy with. My only minor concern is the flaky paper-like substance that is in the bag along with the treats. I am not sure if this is a natural part of the liver itself, or some sort of (hopefully food-grade) casing they use to wrap the liver before it's sliced, but it's a bit weird. I presume it's safe to eat, but I remove it anyway just to be safe... which is a bit of a bother.

Perfect for training!

Our dog trainer recommended these treats for training our pups and they are absolutely perfect. Most other treats are too big, but Crumps are tiny and great for training sessions and stuffing into toys. They are low-calorie and have minimal ingredients (just liver) which is exactly what we want for our dogs who have sensitive stomachs and are on a gluten free diet.
