Love the ingredients and low carbs, cats weren't big fans though

I really hoped my cats would love this food but they don't seem too crazy about it. They are slowly eating it, but still prefer their Blue Wilderness hairball formula

EVERY TIME I purchase Dr. Elsey's Clean Protein kibble (turkey flavor), I never know what to expect when I open the bag. The size of the kibble usually varies from extremely tiny pieces to very irregular shapes and sizes. I am not talking about broken pieces either. The size of the kibble is how the product was manufactured. I have contacted the company on numerous occasions, but still, nothing changes. They continue to have quality control issues with this product. Not sure why they do not take consumer feedback seriously. It is very frustrating to pay top dollarfor a somewhat inferior product as far as uniformity of the kibble goes. I guess I should continue to contact the company and demand that they rectify the matter by providing a replacement bag every time an inferior one is originally received.

My vet recommended this food and the cats love it - i'm carefully watching weight and targeted a low carb diet. I opened a bag and saw white and assumed it was mold, chewy of course helped me return it! The second time it happened i started wondering and called the company... please do this! I sent a picture and they explained the process - they use a coating because of the low carbs that helps hold the kibble together - it was NOT mold! So relieved! Now i don't have to switch away from this food!

I use it as a topper. It’s pricier than what I have been buying, however, it’s a great appetite enhancer. Thanks for making a great product.

Generally our cats love this and the nutrition/ingredients are great. But weve had a few quality problems lately - a bag with a large tear so ants invaded it and our kitchen (chewy was very responsive & credited cost) and today, at the bottom of another bag we found mold on 50 or so kibbles, so had to trash the remainder. Hopefully both are unique occurrences not lessened QC. In general recommend for the high meat proteind and low cereal/carb content.

This is by far the best dry cat food on the market, as far as clean ingredients and extremely low carbohydrates (so rare for a dry cat food, even those touting "grain free"). This is a company with integrity, as well. When flax seed (used as a binder) was hard to come by a few years back, this company chose to use more egg to help with the binding vs. cheaper ingredients (like wheat gluten), as not to compromise the stellar nutitional profile. This cat foot is a bit more expensive, but the high quality and care is why. I'm so appreciateinve of Dr. Elsey's and that this rare dry cat food exists in the market place!
