Greatest Litter Ever

Finally a company that tells the truth about their products. I love it and so does my cat.

I’ve had cats my whole life and this litter is by far my favorite. No strong odor, clumps good and it’s soft and fine so that it is easy on their paws. And our feet too for that matter. Because as cat parents know, no matter what you do, litter is going to get outside the box. But with this kind it’s gentle, not like some litters where you feel like you stepped on sharp rocks.

The granules are just as rough and course as the regular Dr. Elseys litter... it's the same and rather than help my 3 year old sensitive son, whom I love beyond comprehension, it backfired and my son rebelled by not using his litter boxes let alone even go near them... luckily I went through 3 more brands and found a mixture he is slowly accepting... please "Dr. Elsey" a trip to the production line would be wise!

Long story short, our cat has always had issues with pooping in the box ever since he was a kitten. We found out recently he was diagnosed with pillow foot. We have done everything in our power to ensure pooping in the box is an achievable goal for Tito. Late night research led me to Dr. Elsey which has been a real dream come true. Tito has been pooping in the box since we switched out litter and we couldn’t be more proud of him! This litter also benefits our asthmatic cat, Corine as well due to there being no dust with topping off and scooping. Definitely a 10 out of 10 recommendation for this litter. And if anyone is curious what our delicate boy looks like, photo added!

My cats don’t necessarily have sensitive paws; but they LOVE this litter. I was using natural litters like walnut or the Sustainably Yours. The walnut was super dusty and the Sustainably Yours attracted gnats in the summer despite clean their litterboxes 2-3 times per day. I found this litter, and I tested one litterbox with just this, and all the cats only want to use the box with this litter. I know it’s not “eco friendly”; but it’s way less dust than the walnut litter! It clumps very well, odor control is good. The only downside is that it does track, but not too bad because it’s heavier weight. Also, when I do a full clean each month, I can’t dispose of the leftover litter outside in the woods because it’s not biodegradable. Other than those things; this litter gets 6 paws up!

My cat is very particular about the litter he uses. He doesn’t like rocky coarse litter nor anything with a scent. His regular litter was sold out at a chain pet food store. I searched every store within a 15 mile radius and his litter was out of stock. I came across this litter in a Google search and found out that Chewy carried it. I looked at the reviews and most people seemed satisfied so I decided to give it a try. It arrived in a couple of days. When I opened the bag I was surprised how fine the litter was. My cat loved it! Chewy came to the rescue. This is my cat’s new litter from here on out. Good things can come from bad circumstances. Thank you Chewy!

I had higher hopes and expectations. It does not have any odor control whatsoever and it did not help my cat, who is extremely small with her sensitive (toe beans) feets. She is always jumping and shaking her feet off. I was hopeful this litter would be round and smooth but its not. Coupled with the lack of odor control its an absolute waste. Oh but it did clump Ok.
