Don't let the reviews here fool you - this litter is so good when used in a sifting litter box! The sifting box lets the peed on litter, which turns the pellets into powder, fall to a tray under the litter bin. The litter itself is great, it smells nice and I never smell ammonia from the pee. My cat has kidney disease and she pees a lot, this method has been the easiest way keep her bin clean.

I was excited to try this litter, and personally I like it a lot. It smells like pine, it's easy to scoop in without having it go everywhere. It doesn't clump, but turns to sawdust when wet. Unfortunately, our cat hates it. Likely due to the large sized pellets. She is a senior lady and she has arthritis in her feet. So they're uncomfortable for her to stand on. If she had loved it, it would have been perfect.

I've used another brand for years (and still do) but thought I'd try this based on an attractive promotional price. I give it a nod over my other brand because the pine scent is slighly more evident in Dr Elsey's. My cats prefer pine pellet litter versus clumping litter and I prefer less tracking. I recommend this brand but, as is the case with all pine pellet litter, you have to adjust the amount you put into the boxes as it 'grows' as it's used; if you're careful with the amount used, this 40lb bag lasts a good while.

I am a long time user of pine pellet for my cat Basil, this one is just not it. It had a very weird smell to it that he did not enjoy at all and also was incredibly dusty and I ended up changing litter every three days as opposed to four (with multiple daily scoopings of course). Basil is really not very picky typically but he just really did not enjoy this and I’ve had better luck with the frisco brand

While I am not completely disappointed with this litter, I was originally hoping to purchase a 40 lb bag of Feline Pine from Chewy. I was not able to find it in stock, so settled for this brand instead. It's not as good as Feline Pine - breaks apart rapidly after a cat uses it. It also does not smell as good as Feline Pine before usage occurs. Please try to stock a 40 lb bag of Feline Pine for customers.
