The iron content of this product would be less than 1%, but is dependent on where the bentonite is mined, since this is naturally occurring.

Can I use this litter with the litter robot 4?

Originally posted and answered on chewy.com
Answer by ChewyJun 05, 2025
This litter is generally suitable for use with Litter-Robot 4, as it is a high-quality, clay-based clumping litter—exactly the type recommended for optimal performance. For best results, always use standard-weight, clumping litters. Avoid using litters that are non-clumping, plant-based, or made from materials like wood pellets or newspaper, as these can interfere with the sifting system. Additionally, crystal or silica bead litters—especially those that are white or translucent—may affect the accuracy of the Litter-Robot 4’s sensors and are not recommended.

Is this litter gluten free?

Originally posted and answered on chewy.com
Answer by ChewyApr 23, 2025
Dr. Elsey's cat litter is gluten free and is made from sodium bentonite clumping clay. The additive that they use in their Cat Attract litter is gluten free as well, however, the company that processes the additive used in their Cat Attract litter is not a certified gluten free facility.

The title of the product is not same as the product

Thought this was stress relief as per the description but the actual bag in the picture, and the product was respiratory relief, not stress.

Never seen my cat so happy!

My one boy has suffered from asthma since he was a kitten. He's tried all types of litter and usually has no issues (that I noticed), but over the winter I decided to try a different litter and his asthma got worse, but I never saw the correlation until one day I read that clay litter can cause or worsen asthma symptoms. Then literally the next day I watched him come out of the litter box and have an asthma attack and it clicked! I immediately bought this litter and threw out the old one. I don't think I will ever return to a different litter again! The moment I introduced the new litter he used it and started doing laps around the house after going, instead of coughing. I even catch him playing in it sometimes! It is also, 100% dust free. Amazing. He's happy so I'm happy, even if the price is a little steep.

This litter claims to be low dust to help cats with respiratory issues. There was a literal cloud that came up from the box when I poured the litter in, as well as when I cleaned it. The litter started smelling bad the day after I put it in the litter box. I ended up just emptying the litter box after just one day of use.

Great litter for cats with breathing problems. The first litter I’ve found that is actually dust free. I don’t love the way it clumps but definitely worth it to

Unfortunately, Bean had been fully declawed when I took her in. Because of it I’ve stayed with the gel type litter to be more gentle to her paws. But I am in need of a clumping type litter and am giving other types of the same brand a try.

Not for us.

It doesn’t clump at all. Ruined a few litter boxes. Very dusty which doesn’t help my cat with asthma.
