For a correct fit, it is necessary to measure your dog's girth and chest in inches, and compare to the sizing chart.

After struggling with our aussie puppy to get it on her and adjusted to her, she could easily reach down and get her bottom jaw through the chest piece, leaving us concerned that she could potentially hurt herself. Also, the clasp ended up right behind her elbow in a spot that would irritate her or rub her raw. She wore it less than 5 minutes and we decided to not use it. At least it was cheap. Seems to be well made, though.
