Although maximum weight capacity is 200 pounds, these stairs are perfectly sized for small to medium pets for the Large size, and medium to large pets for the Extra-Large size.

I’ve bought a few stairs for my fur baby but he was always too scared to use them because they were too flimsy and no traction so he’d slip. These stairs are so easy to use. They stay in its place, very sturdy and he does not slip at all running up these stairs. I love that he can safely get up on the bed whenever he wants to be next to us with no hesitation or stress.

These are not only sturdy and well spaced for our cat, but they also just LOOK nice (though our boy prefers his stairs covered in blankets so we don't get to see them much). There's no wobble when he goes up and down, even on the carpet. The fabric on the treads is attached neatly and gives a good solid grip surface, and the locking mechanism is both simple and secure. I only wish these came in a shorter size as there are a couple sets of plastic steps we have going to lower surfaces we'd love to replace with something this nice.

This is supposed to be for a large dog. my 70 lbs dog uses this a few times per day and this should not cause the steps to fall apart. Would not recommend and will not re-purchase
