Frisco High-Back Cat Litter Box, Gray, Extra Large 23-in

We're quickly warming up to the addition of a new litter box!

Because my spry 14 y.o. Moosie has "missed" the mark two times in the past several months, when aiming her pee at the side of her old traditional litter box and "gone over the edge," I decided to try adding one with a higher wall, on the "non climbing in" side. Just introduced it yesterday to her. She operates with a two litter box system... side by side... and generally prefers one for peeps and the other for poops. At this point, she's used the new one (as well as the old)... primarily peeing on the shorter side of the new one. (That short wall is still higher than any wall in her old box that I retired.) So we'll see. However, one huge point to make in favor of this litter box is that the claims about being easy to scoop are entirely true! I was flabberghasted when I attended to my morning scooping duties at how easy scooping is!!

Good litter box but not for my cat

We have four of these trays and they are easy to clean, the cat likes them. Our one Tuxedo cat is big and long and he is a “ high pee” he stills manages to get the urine up and over the tray near the back end of the tray. I’m going to try a different style.

Don't order

Do not order this litter box. While the litter box itself is fine, the amount of packaging it comes with is way past ridiculous. I think it's drop-shipped from the manufacturer, since it didn't come in a chewy box. Regardless of who shipped it, the packaging it came in was wasteful beyond imagination. It's all recyclable, so points for that, but it's an environmental disaster. I ordered two. They easily could have been nestled together and shipped in a much smaller box. But no. Each litter box was shipped in its own shipping box, which was at least three times the size needed. When I saw the boxes on my porch, I thought the litter box must have been much bigger than I thought. But no. It was just shamelessly wasteful packaging. After I dug through mountains --and I do mean mountains --of packaging paper , I finally found the litter box at the bottom. The paper from ONE box filled a huge contractor bag, even when I broke it up, folded it, and compressed it. The shipping boxes barely fit through my front door, that's how large they are (and they're square, so that gives you an idea of the size). And they're very heavy cardboard. I'm a senior citizen with mobility issues. I use crutches. I have to put my recycling in my car, drive it to our recycling center, then schlep it across an area to put it in a recycling dumpster. I have TWO of these boxes and contractor bags to deal with. It's freezing where I live. My apartment is small and has no storage. I can't leave this waste lying around. No doubt I sound like "Martha," the cranky senior citizen on the Medicare commercials who annoys me to no end. Generally I'm not. But when I think of the extravagant waste, and the work it is to unpackaged this stuff and take it to recycling, I'm really ticked off.

This is a perfect size and much better then stainless steel which seems to stick terribly Plastic is much better and cheaper !!!!

Big enough for my 17 lbs Ginger

I was apprehensive because my cat is big. There is more than enough room for it. For the first few days my Calico went to use it often and I thought something was wrong. She is happy and so are we.

Excellent box

This is the preferred box of the three I have for my TNR porch kitties. One cat actually walks on the edge and it doesn't tip over. The higher back is nice and the box contains litter well. It is worth paying a bit more and having less mess. I use WBCL and it clumps so well I have not had to dump and wash the box yet, over a week.

Much space for my large kitty. High sides keep kitty liter from spilling on floor.

Have cats that like peeing over the tops so this was a Super help

Excellent for big cats!!

My cat is very long and is a big boy weighting 18 lbs. He is mixed with Maine Coon. Other litter boxes I have had wouldn’t keep the litter inside of the box cause him kicking the litter. It would just a huge mess. This litter box by far is the best one I have had! It’s big enough for big cats and the high walls are excellent! I will be ordering another one when I replace this one in a year.

Cat litter box

Good size for my 18 lb cat. It's a good price and easy to clean
