Frisco Mediumweight Boulder Plaid Insulated Dog & Cat Puffer Coat, Blue, Small

This is a nice little thin fall coat and I love the design as it is easy to put on a pet. I wish they had more coats where you could just quickly Velcro around the neck and belly. My dog is kind of long as she is part dachshund so I was torn as to sizing. She has a 17 1/2 inch length and a 19 1/2 inch girth with an 11 inch neck. So it was tough to decide between medium and large. I decided on medium because I knew otherwise it might be way too big and that was a good decision. It doesn’t go all the way to her tail, but that is fine. If you have a boy dog, that is even better because otherwise the Velcro around the belly might get peed on. My only concern with this coat is that the back part does not stay on the back but rather is up in the air a little. My dog is kind of hairless and so I have it on her in the house to keep her warm and when she’s lying down on the coat, it helps to keep her warm. Outside it will only keep the chest warm, but not the back. I think that is due to the material on the outside that is waterproof. If it had just been fleece, it probably would be laying down on the back properly. I got this coat on 60% discount for only 6 1/2 dollars, so it’s a great price. I would not have been as satisfied if it had been full price. I wanted to give it 3 1/2 stars, but there is no such thing.
