Details

  • Fun shark design features an optional fin attached with button snaps and hook-and-loop fasteners. Reflective accents offer increased visibility so you can always spot your pet in and out of the water.
  • To find the right jacket for your pup, measure their chest, neck and weight. Then, compare their measurements to the size chart and the Maximum Buoyant Weight listed.
  • Grab handle on top lets you quickly and easily pull your pet out of the water in the case of an emergency. A D-ring on the back allows you to attach a leash when necessary.
  • Three adjustable straps-two belly straps and one neck strap-with side-release buckles help you get the perfect fit for comfort and safety.
  • Designed with 20mm foam panels for buoyancy. Front panel has a flotation flap that helps support your dog's head and keep it above water.

You should adjust the belly and then the straps so that the jacket fits snugly. A good rule of thumb is to make sure you can only fit 2 fingers between the jacket and your dog.

My dog is a chunky chiweenie, about 18lbs, and I got him a small. It fits perfectly with the velcro and clips, I appreciate both there to keep it securely on him. The blue color is cute and looks good on him, and the fin is too but I like that it’s removable. The jacket kept him afloat for a short swim in the lake, and the flap on the neck did seem to help keep his head above water some. The handle on the back seemed sturdy enough for me to lift him out of the water, and help with lifting him on dry land (though I used my other hand to support him underneath when he wasn’t in water). The plastic clip for the leash is not ideal but I get this is a cheaper one. I chose this life jacket because it was more affordable and I’m glad it’s holding up well so far.

It’s great quality and the XL holds her 75pd pit-mix, body up out of the water the entire time. I’ve tested tons, this is your best option!

Perfect way to end Shark Week

I took my 10 month old golden retriever to the lake for the first time & I wanted him to have a life jacket. I saw this shark jacket & knew he had to have it immediately. He’s roughly 60-65 pounds, I got him a large (please note that I did not measure him due to laziness) because I was worried an xl would be too big but also slightly worried a large would be too small. The jacket fit beautifully, the tummy velcro is a bit snug but with the buckle that’s not a big deal. I’m sure he’s definitely not done growing but I should be able to use it again next year with the adjustable buckles. As you can see from the pictures, he had a great time!

I have a boy dog, and he is not able to go to the bathroom with the jacket on. So it will not work for him unfortunately. I wish there was a way of measuring that part of the jacket before purchasing.

I can get a hold of the front or top handles to pull him aboard. The shark fin is hilarious- my friends all got a kick out of it. It seems to be well made stays in place. He gets excited when I get it out because he knows Hes Going Paddle Boarding!!

Bought the XS size for my 7.5pound dog and it fits amazing. Lots of adjustable points on the life jacket. The first time ever swimming in a pool was at a community Dog Day event & this jacket gave him the confidence to swim and have a fun day! It’s great that it didn’t bunch up on him and it even has a chin rest to keep his face level. The handle and leash hook are a good feature. Plus that shark tail is so darn cute!
