How high is the rim?

The rim is about 0.25 inches high.

Will this silicone damage lvp (luxury vinyl plank) flooring?

LVP flooring is generally damaged from scratches, scuffs, or stains. The silicone material of this food mat is not designed to cause any of those issues. You will want to keep the bottom of the mat dry to reduce the possibility of water stains.

Does this get moldy or harbor bacteria?

This mat is made of non-porous, FDA-compliant silicone. It is designed to be easily cleaned with mild detergent and water and is also top-rack dishwasher safe. Cleaning the mat regularly will help prevent bacteria and mold growth.

Will the mat, itself, slide on the floor or is it grippy, to stay in place?

Now little pieces of the mat are around and it’s a little concerning for him to have so I have to grab quick to avoid chocking or swallowing. Currently I still have mat but not sure how long I will since it’s being destroyed and not much longer I’ll have it which is disappointing. It was good while it lasted. Great for the water that puppy spilled ( he loves playing in his water dish)
