It is not required to remove the rubber non-skid piece on the bottom of the bowl.

Good for the price!

Unfortunately one of two bowls came with the rubber broken in one place, but that's fine with me as I'm allergic to rubber. Metal bowl is durable and easy to clean

Unfortunately one of two bowls came with the rubber broken in one place, but that's fine with me as I'm allergic to rubber. Metal bowl is durable and easy to clean. Doesn't have as much space for food as expected due to concave bottom but good enough for cat food

I really like that the bowl doesn't move across the floor when the cats are eating. One thing is when they try to scoop the dry food out to eat it with their paw lots of other kibbles fall onto the floor since one side is higher than the other side. Cats seem to like eating out of it so that is good.
