Is the idea to fill the trash can with treats? And they have to remove the racoons to get to the treats? Or is retrieving the racoons intended to be the "puzzle"?

This toy is not designed to be used as a treat dispenser. It is intended to stuff the squeaky racoons into the soft trash can and watch your pup pull them out. Burrow dog toys offer several benefits, including addressing natural instincts, reducing boredom and anxiety, and providing mental stimulation.

Poor Squeakers

I love to hear my girl 'laugh' while zooming about squeaking her toys. These new plushies have been effectively silenced after only one week of play. Disappointing

I love to hear my girl 'laugh' while zooming about squeaking her toys. These new plushies have been effectively silenced after only one week of play. Disappointing for me but she ADORES this new hide and seek puzzle. The wee raccoons are very well constructed and their trash can house as well. Unfortunate to have to source new squeakers & add a sewing project to the todo's but Sienna cares less and gives 5 stars on the FUN level. Hope this helps!

My dog is obsessed with this toy. She immediately removes the raccoons every time we put them in the trash can part of the toy, and carries them around. She lays on them, she brings them to her different dog beds and love to play fetch with them. They’ve held up well so far to her and was definitely a great value.

Good for alley cats!

I know it says dog toy, but I couldn’t resist. I put toys and catnip inside the can, along with the little raccoons, and watch them push it around, digging inside

My only regret is putting my phone down right before one of them got her head stuck inside for a few seconds, and shook it so hard a raccoon flew out!

Somehow, despite ruining every toy she gets within five minutes, we have managed to keep most of this toy for three weeks! We did have to toss two raccoons because she opened them, but I love that we can order more. Which we will!

Something about the shiny material of the trash can enthrals my dog. the raccoons are well loved as well. Lucy never tried taking a toy on our walks until she got this toy. The only draw back is that the trash can could really fit 6-7 of the raccoons. I like to hide treats in there and they just fall out, so i usually stuff some other toys in there too.
