Works well and cat likes it

I really like this fountain and I would buy another if I needed a second fountain. It's easy to clean, holds lots of water and the cat enjoys drinking from it. I

I really like this fountain and I would buy another if I needed a second fountain. It's easy to clean, holds lots of water and the cat enjoys drinking from it. I saw a lot of reviews saying it got loud after a while, that happened to me as well but I cleaned out the pump with a small bottle brush and the fountain went back to being quiet again.

I am 100% pleased with the Whimsical Leaf Fountain and the cost. I don't have the income for the more expensive fountains. This fountain sits on the floor right next to me and is so very quite. The base is just transparent enough to see the water level. And the only time i hear the fountain is when the water level gets low, then it makes a low click sound to let me know to add more water.

Both my cats have successfully adapted to this. Most critical was Zena who has kidney disease. But also my wild boy who thinks that he has to splash every water bowl nearly dry to make sure there's water in there I guess. This one either he has accepted the water is there or he's just gotten over the splash phase. Two caveats are 1. the filters are not super efficient. They are adequate for removing debris. 2. a cat wearing a cone would find it a challenge to drink from it. My cat in the soft collar can use it.

I thought perhaps turning it off would give her the confidence to try it...nope. I took away the water bowl and closed the lid on the toilet. She remained steadfast in her refusal to drink from the dreaded fountain.
