This food contains a Phosphorus level of 0.25% on an as fed basis (1.14% on a dry matter basis) and a Sodium level of 0.08% on an as fed basis (0.36% on a dry matter basis).

What is the carb content, both on as-fed and dry basis?

I have a slightly overweight indoor cat and I was trying to find a food that is lower in calories to help her maintain her weight. She's a good eater but for some reason, this variety was not doing it for her. She sniffed it and gave it a few trial licks, then walked away and begged me for something different. LOL I guess even cats hate being on a diet! The food is flaked and it comes with a mildly thick gravy. It is does not have a strong smell, maybe that's why she didn't care for it. I did try pulsing it a bit in a food processor thinking that maybe she didn't care for the flakes and preferred pate consistency but that did not work either. Also, for my other cat, I think I may have introduced this too fast as it did give him diarrhea. So if you are switching to this, remember to introduce slowly. That was my mistake.

The FRISKIES brand is not one I'd thought much of, but a client of mine feeds her cat this one, and I thought it looked like real food. Sort of like a stew. My cat will eat it gladly. It's a 'second' food because his first food is so expensive. The chunks are large, which my cat will fling around, so I've taken to cutting them up a bit. An affordable cat food, I'm still not sure I believe it. I'll have to read some reviews.
