Instructions
Please read all instructions and FAQs carefully before beginning your grooming. Use the FURminator Grooming Rake only as directed.
Step 1: To groom your pet, find a calm time and location to sit down with your pet. Gently stroke across the pet's coat in the direction of hair growth. Start from your pet's head and work your way back, using extra care near stomach, legs, genitals and anus. Avoid making excessive strokes in a single area, as this may cause irritation of your pet's fur and skin. Brush until all tangles and mats are removed from the pet's fur
Step 2: Grooming is a good time to perform a complete physical inspection of your pet. As you brush your pet, look for sores, bruises and skin conditions, which your pet's coat may conceal. If your pet has any of these conditions, seek treatment from a veterinarian before resuming brushing.

I got this after bringing home a rescue husky. He was just starting his winter blowout when we got him so I knew I needed a good and heavy duty brush for him. This one is alright. It gets deep in there, but since it's just one row of teeth I have to empty it after pretty much every stroke. I wish it was a full-size brush. I have another one that's bigger and works better for his hair, but it's not as deep as this one so I end up using both for different parts of his body.
Removes so much hair!!
This rake is perfect for both my short and long hair cat! It removed all of their undercoat and made them look so nice and clean :)

Works great in conjunction with the Furminator De-Shedding tool.

Teeth too narrow
The teeth in the middle of the brush is tooooo close together & will not go thru my dogs fur coat.

This is the only brush/comb that I use for my Aussie. It gently detangles, pulls out and twigs and such that get caught up in his fur while he is out working. It's gentle on his skin and catches all those loose hairs in his undercoat to make him look beautiful. Because it's so gentle he enjoys his daily brushing. As a retired groomer I have tried them all and I highly recommend this brand comb/brush for long haired double coated dogs and cats too.

I did a lot of research on brushes for our new double coated husky rescue. I wanted a brush that #1 was easy on her skin and #2 managed shedding. This brush checks the boxes and great value! I start with a silicone dog grooming brush (purchased on Chewy) to loosen the shedding fur and follow up with this grooming rake to pick up more fur and it’s been a game changer. Our dog seems to enjoy her brush sessions. Seriously I did a lot of research here and feel like we have a good handle on the shedding situation with this routine. Our roomba can attest!
