Only way our dog will take medication
Our dog is difficult to pill, but she loves taking her medication in the peanut butter pill pockets...she thinks she's getting a treat! We've found that the most economical way to purchase them is to buy the capsule-size (large) pill pockets, and then break off what we need and mold the pocket piece around the pill. Half of a capsule pocket will cover fairly large pills and capsules, and we get multiple uses out of a single pocket for smaller tablets. This method has saved a lot of $$$ versus buying the smaller tablet-size pockets.
Cannot reject but you cannot see.
I've been using these for years. I love them. It's a total deceit for especially an intelligent dog. I would recommend them to anybody who has a dog who simply just will not take medicine. I have had dogs at Patel immediately if you put it in peanut butter and bread or try to hide it in their food. I just found them on the floor. Pill pockets are the perfect deceiving remedy to all that. They think they're getting a treat, you're taking care of their needs. Absolute perfection. Any pill fits in them. Some antibiotic pills are a little bigger, and they kind of mess perfectly if you need to then they just think they're getting a bigger treat. I don't know who came up with this idea but my hats off to you.

I have tried these pill pockets and PetMD's wrap-a-pill paste. I thought I would save money by buying the PetMD's tub of paste instead of the Greenie's pill pockets. The PetMD product says there's enough in the tub for 59 "servings." There's no way I could get that many pills covered with enough paste to disguise the pill adequately; and these are slender capsules - not large tablets. With the Greenies, I can cut one pocket in half and it's enough to cover two capsules and my dog loves it! Much better value IMO.
My girl loves taking her meds!
Previously I have only been able to find the Hickory Smoke Pill Pockets, which crumble & the smell is sickening. I found these peanut butter flavor, & they are soft & easily cover the pill. I can break one in two and give my German Shepherd girl one of her 2 pills in each half. One is a capsule, one a tablet, works great for both. She thinks she is getting 2 treats, not medicine & scarfs them down!
Takes the Stress Out of Giving Medication
My Yorkshire Terrier needs medicine three times a day (and has for the last four years). He does not hesitate to take the pills in the pill pocket. In fact, I have to give my other dog a small portion of an empty pill pocket at the same time. They see it as a treat.
Pretty unbelievble
Jesse won't swallow a pill with cheese, liverwurst, or tucked into meat. Nothing works. But if I'm careful not to touch the pill with the fingers closing the cup and offering it him? Magic. Of course he's not a hound(better nose), but we're both HAPPY.
Good product especially if your pet is chronically on meds
Pets seem to love the flavor. My pup especially loves the peanut butter! The product helps especially when your household is stressed already because your animal is ill. It’s nice not to have to fight with the dog too to take his meds. Thanks Chewy too for still selling the large bags. From a doxie Mom whose pup has had 3 spinal surgeries in the past 15 months.
My Shalini is just too smart!!!
Used to love when only 1 pill twice a day, but now that she's on 3 medications a day, twice day she get wise and now only eats them as a treat, but won't touch w pills in them. That's my girl!!!
Dryer Than Usual
Been using these for over a year. Usually no problems and my dog loves them. The last package I ordered though seemed dry and tends to fall apart when closing it over a pill. Not a huge deal cuz warming in my hand softens them up but still inconvenient.
