Why are there complaints about the change from pate to "soupy mess" and why is garlic powder added?

Halo has not made any changes to this formula. The stew does have more moisture than the pates. This is caused by cans being filled at the end of the run resulting in the extra moisture. It can also depend on the seasons in which more fruit and vegetables may be juicer.
Some Halo can recipes include small amounts of garlic for its anti-oxidant properties. This ingredient is beneficial and safe when used in small amounts.

Is there a place on the packaging or cans where I can see the expiration date? I want to order in bulk to save on shipping, and I'd love to know how long they are good for....

Every expiration date will be different for each case, as different batches are constantly being produced. Typically, unopened cans of food can be stored in a cool, dry place for up to 24 months from the date of manufacture.
