From time to time there will be variances in the kibble shape. One reason is that for their Halo Holistic recipes they do not use meat meals, which is powder. Halo only use whole protein which is high in moisture. Also, they do not add any emulsifiers to our recipes which are for consistency in the shape of the kibble. Another key factor is the process their kibble goes through at the time of extrusion. Once the ingredients are mixed it goes through blades which cut the pieces (kibbles) are extruded. When this happens many times, the kibbles collide against each other and can either create the puffiness you were used to or flatter disc-shaped OR triangle shaped kibble. Please know it is safe to feed.

I like that they are both salmon and white fish. My senior pups love fish when I cook them fresh. However, sometimes they need kibbles to balance out their digestion. The kibble size is a bit small for my small breed(they are Min pins and chihuahua at about 10 pounds). But my pups like them when I mix it in with home cooked meal.
