Could you please confirm where to measure the dog. If you click on the sizing chart it says behind the front legs and on one of the pictures it says to measure around the neck in front of the legs. Someone said that when they used the measurement from behind the front legs it was too big.

How does the "front chest control" work?

For a better no-pull experience, this harness should be paired with a Halti Training Lead. This dual-clip lead provides attachment points at the front and back of the dog harness, offering optimal support and steering control.

I have used halti no pull head harnesses on all my giant breed dogs for the last 25 yrs. So I thought this would be great for my new man d sized pup. But in like the head harness this requires you to size it every time you put it on and undo all that work to safely take it off. That is 3 sliding adjustment straps. Which becomes very difficult to do with a pup who is very excited about going for a walk. I returned it because the adjusting is difficult to do without a pup in it. Almost impossible with one in it.

Working well for puppy leash training

Noticed an immediate improvement with training our puppy on the leash. She is a strong boxer and immediately stopped the pulling issue.

Durable but they learn

We utilize both prong collars and this. Bear did great at first but after a While (est 8 months) he learned to get over any frustration this harness may have created

I cannot emphasize enough how happy I am to have this harness. My dog is a fast and excited walker and with his collar, I felt like i was always putting pressure on his neck while also having little control. The Halti allows him freedom without pulling and I am so much more comfortable walking him. The angle of the attached leash is also better for both of us. I have only used the rear leash clip -- not the chest clip.

While the quality is great and this worked on my brothers dog, it didn't stop my big guy from pulling at all.

I love the halti, head collar, but people always mistake it for a muzzle. I was hoping to find a harness that mitigated pulling. This one worked great for about three days until my clever pooch figured out that he could just back up and pull me that way. If you have a dog who sometimes pulls in reverse, this is a very unsafe option, as I was very fearful, he could just step out of the whole thing. This also resulted in his being intermittently unmovable on walks, especially if he disagreed with the direction I wish to go in.
