Our dog had a terrible reaction to this food

Our small 12 year old Schnauzer mix had no previous digestive concerns prior to eating this food. Within a few days, she was feverish, terribly constipated and lethargic

Our small 12 year old Schnauzer mix had no previous digestive concerns prior to eating this food. Within a few days, she was feverish, terribly constipated and lethargic. She went from being playful and energetic to bed ridden within days. She would cry to be taken out only to be in pain and unable to go to the bathroom. We took her to our vet who told us to stop feeding it to her immediately, as it was the only change to her diet. After discarding this food, and following several vet visits, medication (mainly digestive assistance), she thankfully was back to herself After further investigation, we found reviews with very similar circumstances. Please take great care in deciding to choose this for your dog

I recently adopted a rescue who is overweight and has behaviors which can be attributed to nutrition deficiency. I trust Hills. It’s what all my dogs eat through each stage. Toni will be three on January 20th. Here’s to many more returns. The transformation will take time, but I can see the difference six months has made. Coat, nails, behaviors - it all comes down to nutrition and consistency in training.

Thank you Chewy for helping me get out from under mistakenly way over ordering Science Diet Oral Health for small dogs. It's an excellent product that our dog likes. But she is 12 year old and weighs 8 pounds. Four pounds of the oral diet lasts a l-o-n-g time for her. The extra food went to Bread of the Almighty, our local food bank. We all thank you!
