My two cats are 9 yrs old and have been eating Science Diet light their whole life, (my female is chubby and her brother is tall and skinny) but I thought it might be a good idea to switch to Adult 7+ formula. They love it but I am surprised that the kibble is larger and quite firm/hard compared to the small flat discs in the light formula. They are loudly crunching away on it but I would have thought the kbble would be easier for older cats to chew. Hoping this won't be an issue with thier old teeth, the male has already had one removed due to tooth resorption. They hide pain so well and nothing usually gets in the way of food time so it's hard to know if these harder kibbles bother them. Just wanted others to be aware in case their cats have tooth issues.

We were getting the Science Diet healthy weight food for a long time but they stopped wanting it. I decided to try this food and both cats love it. They wait behind their bowls to get a little scoop. So far I've ordered it twice, and they are still eating it with no problems.

I opened the box and put in the hallway. An hour later, Marshi was making noise with the bag. The get there and she has chewed through the bag to get to the food. Mind you they had plenty of food in their bowls I. The kitchen. So this transition was not difficult because they love it!
