My cat has hyperthyroidism and is getting meds for it. Her vet prescribed Hill'prescription diet y/d thyroid care, which at first she didn't eat. She does now, but in the meantime, we gave her this and it's her favorite. She seems to like this version with veggies and rice more than any other. She turned down about a dozen others. This food is for age group 1 to 6 years. She's 8 or 9, but skinny due to her condition, so food with more calories (for younger cats) works great for her. We know that Hill's makes quality food, so we're glad this is a good alternate to her y/d.
