First off, I want to make it clear that this review is NOT about Chewy in any way whatsoever. I can honestly say that I'm just as happy with their service as I've always been. 100% SATISFIED!!! Chewy is quite probably the best business I've ever dealt with, seriously. But, my problem exists never the less. I have a small dog who has occasional stomach issues so I decided to try switching from the regular Hill's Science Diet to the sensitive stomach formula to see if it helped my little buddy any. I started out mixing small amounts of the new food with larger amounts of his current food and gradually changed the amount to more of the new food like it's recommended so they can adjust to the new food. All was going well until it got to where Louie could taste the new food in with his other food. Apparently there's a difference in taste because my dog will hardly touch it. Now I'm out of his old food and have half of a bag of new food that my dog doesn't like. I've been pouring a bit of salt-free broth over it to make it a bit more palatable for him. Being on a fixed income I just don't have the money to buy another bag of his regular food until I get my next disability check at the beginning of the month. The reason I'm taking time to post this is just to share the lesson I learned about not taking it for granted that your dog will like a different type of food just because it's the same brand. This ain't necessary true!!! Please, plan better than I did!!! I will be changing Louie's "autoship" order back to the regular formula when I'm done posting this. Like I said before, this is in no way about Chewy. They are NEVER anything less than a great company to deal with!!! I'm just hoping that maybe someone else can learn from my boneheaded move...

My dogs got very ill almost having to put one down and I was scared to give them the food they had been eaten because that was the only thing that they both ate and we’re both sick. One was a senior dog and one was a puppy so I changed from the royal canine to Hill science diet sensitive small breed. After a week of being on chicken and rice, I had to incorporate something very good but not harsh and this went over very well.

My 10 year old terrier mix was experiencing some digestive issues, so we switched her to Hill’s. She tends to be picky and was used to a mixture of wet food and kibble, but she loved it. The tummy sensitivity is no longer an issue.

We bought Hill’s Science diet for our cats and they legit gobbled it up so fast they barged lol! Now that they have calmed down they are a healthy weight and have the softest, glossiest coats. So when my dog was having issues with corse fur and shedding, I thought I would try switching his dog food. We have already see a difference in his fur, weight, and demeanor after just one week. The food also comes in easy to re-seal packaging so it stays fresh when stored in a cool, dry place. And the bulk, 30lbs bag is a good deal for the amount of food. I appreciate the auto-pay option but it is still nice not having to buy so often. Overall 10/10!
