my cats will eat whatever is in the can. that being said, it is i who have noticed as i scoop out the food that sometimes it is soupy, sometimes it is chunky; sometimes the chicken pieces are large, sometimes quite small. sometimes it is very smelly, other times it has very little odor. the variation within a 12-pack is fairly consistent, but across years of cans the texture & consistency vary to a remarkable degree.

My cat Lucy has had some sensitive tummy issues and a lot of mushy poops. Vet suspected it was her diet. We tried different foods to see which would improve her poops, but didn't have much success. I finally switched her to the HIll's Science Diet perfect digestion, both the wet and the dry versions, and her poops have been so much better! She's now pooping logs instead of blobs. My other cat who doesn't have these issues doesn't want to touch the wet food, unfortunately, but will eat the dry version.

I was shocked to see the gray color compared to a can I bought to try at pet store (they enjoyed) so I purchased 2 cases and when opening it smelled and was GRAY in color but not the other one (photos show comparison). Cats will NOT touch and I had to make a trip to the pet store to get my girls a different flavor at this point.

The vet gave us a few cans of KD fir Bear for free (it's not mandatory for her they were just overstocked)...Bear LOVED it and this appears to be the same thing but without the 'Rx'...I guess though she needs pate food so I may try using the blender to smooth it out-- her teeth are terrible and she's only eating the gravy. :(. The other cats would gobble it down but they're on Hills CD....the search continues supplemented by a can or so of various grocery store samples...cats!!!!

Not a hit with our cats

Bought this for one of our cats who sometimes has a hard time passing stool. She took one bite and walked away. Our other 3 cats don't care for it either. A shame,

I was hoping after seeing the reviews that this product would help my cat's diarrhea. Instead it made it worst.

My cat did not like this. The look and smell was kind of off. Looked cloudy and just not appealing and looked really disgusting. I noticed some of the cans I opened were of gray consistency and cloudy looking. I checked each can thoroughly for dents, and paid attention to it pop when you open a fresh can. I didn't seem like the can was or would have been an issue. It didn’t look normal to me. It was a very gray color. I threw them out. pretty much every can i opened was the same. Thought about donating to shelter or rescue group but my concern was this, the possibility that this particular case may have been a bad batch! tainted, spoiled I don't know. Not willing to risk any cat mine or otherwise getting sick from this food. Problem is I HATE TO THROW OUT FOOD. so I still have several cans sitting on a shelf. My take on this item.. would I recommend this product. NO! DON'T BUY IT. don't waste your money..
