I ordered this since the kibble size was drastically reduced in the food that my pup was eating, without notice from Hill's. I found this almost the same product for large breed as my pup is 55 pounds. He did well for several years on the first product and lost some weight. I am still in the process of a slow transition to this large breed version. I had to change products because he was not really chewing the food. So far he seems happy with it. His sensitive stomach is also doing okay after about a week. More time needed to fully evaluate the transition and his weight.

We use this for our 8 yr old Newfie and 4 yr old lab. The Newfie was experiencing some of the normal struggles that a large dog does with his hind legs. I think that within the first month of using this product, he was showing significant signs of improvement! With this also being a weight management product, it has helped our chubby lab noticeably slim down. Win, win for both dogs!

We’ve been buying Hill’s Diet for a while now. I researched a lot beforehand, and our vet also recommended this series since our Lab loves to eat and is on the bulkier side. I haven’t tracked any specific changes, but she’s active, has had zero stomach issues, and always finishes her meals. Even my parents’ dog - who normally refuses dry food - eats this happily. That’s why we’ve stuck with it.

After considerable research I am moving the girls from another brand of dry kibble to Hills Weight Management as we don’t get as much exercise during the winter months. No issues with previous brand and would have preferred to stay with that brand if they had a weight management. No issues noted with the change other than I am picking up a lot more waste. Maybe attributed to the amount of fiber in the Hills brand. Will continue to see how they do on the Hills and reevaluate in another 6 months.

This item caters to exactly what my dog needs. I worked at a pet store for awhile and every time I saw a large breed that was older and still healthy they told me the used science diet. Since then I haven’t switched back. Plus the photo of the black lab looks identical to my dog. Red collar and everything

Good for weight, joints & stool quality!

I've been trying to get a few stubborn lbs off my 6 y/o lab and failing miserably until putting her on this food. She seems to feel better and is getting back in shape, gaining endurance and wanting to run more and even keep up with puppies play (for a while anyway...lol). Her stools were inconsistent but have firmed up which are helping her glands express, an issue she has due to allergies. Of course it's important to do a proper 5-10 day transition from your dog's current diet. This is more expensive than her last food (nutro) but seems to be really good quality and it's science/veterinarian backed. The only thing is her stools have been a bit dry since she doesn't drink much and it's been hot, but adding some water to her food bowl helped. Would recommend!

We tried other weight management food before with little or no success. Buttercup is 6 and we also want to help her age gracefully. Since switching to Hill’s Perfect Wright & Joint Support, he weight is great, her coat is amazing, and she runs around fast as she was 5 years ago. Can’t say enough about how much this food has helped our girl live her best life.

Lost weight

He seems to enjoy the food and over time he did loose weight but it took a while. Wasn’t very heavy but has hip problems, so needed to be at the perfect level.
