Unopened wet dog food should be stored in dry places, ideally where cans aren’t likely to be dented or punctured from falling or other accidents. Opened wet food is best kept refrigerated in tightly sealed containers for no more than three days after it’s been opened. If you’d like to freeze wet dog food, remove the food from the container, pack it in freezer-friendly containers and then freeze it immediately. Wet products should not be frozen in their unopened containers.

Really like the small portions. Both of our cats love it. As far as it being hard to open, I just cut around the inside edge of the foil and then peel it back. Saves a lot of tugging with the tab. I actually like that it is hard to open with the tab, in saying that it is telling me that it is sealed really good! Will definitely continue feeding our cats this Iams brand. They love their chicken!

The cats like the food "okay" but I won't buy it again for the issues trying to get it open - sometimes easy, sometime hard. When I manage to get it open, the slippery broth often spills on my fingers making getting the next one open nearly impossible. If I want just one of the pair, sometimes they both will pop open during the process of getting them separated, just enough to need to refrigerate the unwanted one for safety. I dread feeding this food and will be glad when it is gone!
