You should divide the total recommended feeding amount by the number of times you feed your cat per day to get the actual portion size per feeding. If you have a kitten, pregnant or nursing cat, we recommend feeding IAMS kitten food. Remember to have clean, fresh water available for your cat at all times. Because IAMS INDOOR WEIGHT & HAIRBALL CARE cat food is complete and balanced for Maintenance, you do not need to add vitamin or mineral supplements.
We recommend always using a transition period when introducing any new wet or dry food to your dog or cat. Mix 25% of the new food in with 75% of the current food. Over a 5-10 day period, gradually increase the amount of new food in the mixture until it's the only thing in the bowl. Keep fresh drinking water available at all times.

It's controlling indoor cat's weight alright, so much that she went back to her previous weight and actually needs to eat more lol.

My fur baby was on Hills Science Diet Metabolic for 5 years, gained weight from extreme carbs, Iams has 10-20% less carbs per serving than Science Diet Metabolic used to help cats lose weight. When I switched to Iams my fur baby lost 3 pounds in a year. Iams is the best kibble you can buy on the market.
