Not only does this litter box lid NOT stay on (it says it “clicks” to lock on but all you have to do is touch it and it comes loose and falls off - so frustrating!!) but also, and even more frustrating is the fact that the bottom isn’t flat - it has a wide groove or challenges all around the edge which means I have to dig out pee soaked litter out of the crevices every single day. Literally the worst litter box I’ve ever owned or used.

This box has a channel around the base similar to a roasting pan. If you have cats that pee at the edge of the box collecting the clumping litter is a pain since the scoop gets caught in the channel. The clump breaks and you end up creating more dust fishing for pieces. The top of the box slopes in quite a lot making it feel a lot smaller than the base. It is also not very secure on the base. The cats don't mind it though they do look awkward/cramped using it. They are kittens so aren't big cats. For its price it is functional. However I would not recommend it.

Clean and stylish

I love the scatter shield around this box as it helps contain the litter. I also only have litter in the back half so it’s an easy visual of whether it’s been used

I love the scatter shield around this box as it helps contain the litter. I also only have litter in the back half so it’s an easy visual of whether it’s been used. I simply swirl the litter and the clumps rise to the top for easy scooping. I also use World’s Best corn littler. I wish I’d discovered this box and litter years ago. Bought one for my mil and her new kitty and she’s quite impressed.

This box definitely helped calm down my enthusiastic digger but needs to be constantly scooped out due to it's small size. It's barely big enough for a grown cat to squat in. I'm also not a fan of the bump-outs on either side of the box entrance because that's usually where they end up peeing and it's very hard to clean that out. I'm back today looking for a bigger box.

We recently made a purchase that included this Iris cat liter box. My bad for not reading other reviews.....now I know why it was so cheap....because it is a cheap piece of garbage. Our two cats have only been using it for 5 days and not only will the collar/top not stay on, but they have chipped chunks out of the rounded top edge. I don't know how they did that. Maybe the 2" chuck that chipped off happened when they knocked the collar off, but they also have 3 little V shaped pieces off the top edge.

Nice tall sides.

I purchased this for the high sides. I have a cat who goes right next to the sides. This keeps it in. Only problem is you have to remove the sides to clean the litter

Simple but effective, the wall is not too much and still gives the cat an open top but definitely helps with litter not coming out of the box. We even hung the scooper

My cats loved to dig in their litter boxes and throw the litter all out of their litter boxes. Also one of my cats decided it was a great idea to stand on the edge of the litter box and pee over the side onto the floor. These litter boxes with the sides have stopped all the craziness! Inexpensive fix, super happy with this purchase. Plus l received these very quickly.

Just what I needed!

This is exactly what I was looking for, and for a good price! I needed something with tall walls so that my kitty couldn’t kick, or pee, over the walls by accident

This is exactly what I was looking for, and for a good price! I needed something with tall walls so that my kitty couldn’t kick, or pee, over the walls by accident (learned from previous experience). And this was perfect. I also wanted something to fit on this bottom part of my shelf, and it fits perfectly. It’s not too big, but also the perfect size for my cat! My only complaint is the edges inside the box; it can be difficult to scoop stuff out if it falls in there. Otherwise, great product and would recommend!

You get what you paid for! I got three because they were on sale. They are not as big as I expected but they will work for now. I got them so the cats could try something different. They are smaller than the ones the cats were using. The benefits of it...they are open so the biggest cat can fit....less litter because they are smaller..
