It is recommended to monitor your dog after application. Side effects may include signs of skin irritation such as redness, scratching, or other signs of discomfort. Gastrointestinal signs such as vomiting or diarrhea have also been reported. If these or other side effects (such as lethargy or agitation) occur, consult your veterinarian or call 1-800-422-9874.

Make sure u put it somewhere they cant get to and underneath hair. My dogs like to try and run it off after i put it on
My dog likes to move around a lot when I'm trying to apply this onto him. The first few drops I can get onto his skin as directed but the remainder of it gets only on his fur. Will it still work if he doesn't rub it off?

Make it fun and reward them for it after. My dogs always try and rub it off after but i put it down on skin under thick hair
If there is ticks already attached and THEN I have applied this topical, do the ticks die or stay alive. Applied 48 hours ago and found a total of four one first 24 hour and then after 48 hours two ticks. Been on pup for a bit they engorged.

Detachment of the tick depends on a voluntary movement by the parasite itself. In a dog treated with advantix, the tick dies within 24 hours, which is not enough time for the hypostome to have detached from the dog's skin, and it is therefore possible to find ticks on the dog still fixed in the skin but dead. The tick usually falls off, with expulsion of the hypostome from the skin within the next three days.
