This perch has a 50 pound weight limit.

I have a semi feral cat that lives in garage. Coldest temp has been 38 degrees fahrenheit. One metal door with glass window. Will the suction cups attached to metal hold a 12 pound cat at low temperatures.

All K&H EZ Mount products mount to virtually any smooth surface such as windows, glass doors, and appliances.

How secure are the suctiin cups? Over time will they loose suction?

As with any suction cup, debris, temperature changes, sunshine and excessive use can weaken the holding power. We recommend removing the suction cups at least once per month to clean the window area, clean the suction cups and then re install them for optimal strength. This perch has a 50 pound weight limit.

I would not recommend this for most cats. My cat is about 12lbs, and I would not feel comfortable using this hammock long term. I followed the directions and wiped down the window and the suction cups, but they would never stick for longer than a few hours. I tried multiple windows, but the suction cups always failed. Also, the back side of the hammock isn’t secured to the cat bed part. It’s possible a smaller cat may be able to use the product.

Was concerned that it was held up my suction cups, but I followed the instructions for installation and it seems well attached to the window. It took my cat a while to work up the nerve (or interest) in trying it out, but she seems to enjoy it now that she has given it a try. She has plenty of room on the platform, however she is quite petite.

Both of my kitties really enjoy sitting in this window hammock to look at all our birds and larger wildlife move through out acreage. Well made, sturdy, looks comfy and there is a tad bit of assembly but it's easy. I saw this at out lot ver office and they loved it there so I had to buy one for my house.

This seems like a product that could be great if it works for your cat and your home. But my cat didn't love it. After leaving it for her to discover for a couple of days, I placed her there after a cuddle session. She stood for a moment, looking around, and then hopped out. Never showed any more interest. She just didn't really see it as a place to sit.

Our cats loved a version we purchased through a different manufacturer, however they didn't hold up to some of our heftier boys. We ordered four of these and they have been a resounding success. They are well built and big enough for our larger friends. We recommend!
