These cat houses (I bought two) are easy to put together and are perfect for inside my barn. I threw some treats in there and my non-social barn cats checked them out immediately. My barn cats have to be trapped for any type of health/welfare handling (petting accepted, just can’t pick them up) and these houses were apparently not that sketchy looking to them. They used them the first night. The heating pad warms when pressure is applied so it’s not heating when unoccupied. They are held together with Velcro and are best used under cover and off the ground.

The neighbor's cat decided to live on our covered front porch. Colder weather came and we got her this house. We started out with just the warming pad on the deck, then put the pad in the house without the roof on (she is afraid of being trapped). We played with her, getting her to go in and out both doors. After a few days we put one side of the roof on, then the other. Now she snuggles up in it, and keeps warm and dry.

My senior cat loves to be warm so he has two kitty shelters plugged in all the time. One shelter house is on the back screened porch and the other inside the house. He no longer seeks out temporary sunbeams because he can sit in these little houses and see out easily. The houses are very sturdy, easy to assemble and very easy to clean.

We bought a few of these houses for our feral cats. They’re lightweight, sturdy, durable, and easy to assemble. I was so surprised when our cats started using them about 10-12 days after we set them up! Now our wild ones love cozying up in their little houses. We did have to take one of the flaps off of each house, because no one would push through to get in. Maybe someday we can add them back, but not yet. Love these!

We needed a small, outside house for our fur-baby who only wants to camp out occasionally. She does spend certain nights outside, but with the nights getting colder we needed a warmer place for her to stay. This house fit the bill. It has two entrances in which she can enter and a small heater at the bottom that will assist her in staying warm on nights that get close to freezing. We live in western Texas, our temperatures don’t get close to anywhere north of Colorado so our results are different. Our house is also located on top of a shed and under a patio, it won’t be subject to rain or wind.

If kept inside, she wants to go out in the wee hours of the morning, waking us up. She loves this little warm house and uses it all the time. This has been a pleasant surprise. Very happy.

I have "adopted" a stray cat and was so concerned about her safety and warmth during the coming fall/winter. She has been using this K&H heated house since I placed it outside and seems to love it. It just didn't seem to be that well insulated, so after reading a suggestion from someone, I purchased a roll of the foil bubble insulation and lined the inside with it. I couldn't get the ends lined, just the sides and top. I used duct tape to secure it and it is holding up well so far. Come warmer weather when she doesn't need the shelter, I plan to take it apart and actually glue the insulation to all the inside surfaces, maybe even do a double layer. I couldn't do it now because the glue has to cure so there are no harmful fumes and I don't want her to be without the box for days. I did try to add some fleece remnants to the box, but she kicked them out. She seems happy with just the sherpa cover that comes with the heated pad.

It’s just right for her, just her size and she is so cozy warm and comfy at night. I love the sturdiness of the walls and roof, the heat pad keeps it warm and it makes her happy. This was a very good buy! Thank you Chewy!

Nemo enjoyed sleeping on the heated cushy mat. He did go in the house, and it fit great on our porch! I am sorry that Nemo did not get to use it more, as his health suddenly declined over the last few months. We actually had to help him over the Rainbow Bridge today. We plan to hold onto this house for a future kitty! Thanks for this great product, and the chance to get it on sale.

The weather started getting cold and windier much earlier this year so I decided it was time to get heated cat houses for the two ”feral” cats that hang out in my yard. They’re used to the non-heated houses that I fill with straw, so they both showed interest in the new set up right away. I tested both pads, and have checked on the temperature a few times, and it works as described (off when there’s no pressure, warmth when there is). I did tape one side of the flap to be halfway up so they get used to going in an out of the house, and I’ll put the flap all the way down as it gets colder. I wish they came with an assortment of flap sizes to help with the adjustment period. I plan on getting a riser to put both beds on so they sit off the ground before the snow comes.
