Is the sand considered sterile?

The sand is not sterilized because it will be damaged in the autoclaving process and will lose its hydrophobic properties.

How many bags do you need for a litter box?

Depending on the size of the litter tray, you should use one or more of the three bags included inside Kit4Cat (2 pounds of hydrophobic litter is included). Kit4Cat should not be used in the same quantities as standard cat litter because only a thin layer of hydrophobic litter needs to cover the surface of the tray to prompt urination from the cat.

After collecting a sample, keep it refrigerated and send for further evaluation in up to 48 hours. CheckUp is for one time use only, and should not be used for multiple tests.

Hallelujah I was able to get a sample

After a few tries to get a urine sample for the vets ( the little jar of black non absorbing little was useless) so I had to do my own research for a sample. An

After a few tries to get a urine sample for the vets ( the little jar of black non absorbing little was useless) so I had to do my own research for a sample. An impossible task was made easy by this cat litter. I ordered at 7pm after being completely beside myself to try and get this sample and with the exceptional delivery service it was on my doorstep at 2pm the next day. I got home put the litter in the box, showed my cat the litter. He went and I was able to syringe the sample into the jar given to me by the vets and took the sample into at 8am the next day. You saved me from going insane. Thank you. I only used 2 little bags was enough to line the bottom of the litter pan and I bought extra in case for the next sample in 6 months.

We had to get a urine sample for our vet and this brand was recommended since our cat was not cooperating at the vet’s office. I wish the product came in a larger size since you add it to a clean litter pan. Each pouch amounts to a small pile of litter and our cat was resistant to using it. Ended up using all 3 pouches and then she was okay. The product does what it says. Unfortunately I don’t think you can reuse it although we’re going to rinse it well and let it dry in case we need it in future.

Screw-cap tubes please!

Nothing wrong with the product itself but my cat would not touch it. The bags are small so I used all 3. She didn't go to the bathroom for over 15 hours so I gave up and put her regular litter in. Then I tried just sprinkling a tiny bit of this over her regular litter just to get her used to it and same thing refused to go to the bathroom for over half a day. My cat just will not use this product.

My cat also refused to use this so I ended up having to catch the urine myself in his regular litter. I do like how they include a syringe and vial.

My kitty has a habit of peeing on the way to the vet, so to get a urine sample, I was going to need to drive him there in the morning and leave him all day to see if they could collect. I thought I’d try this first to save him the anxiety. I didn’t even need to confine him! I put it in a new stainless box and within an hour, he checked it out and made a deposit! I missed that there are 3 sets, this is great I’ll have it on hand next time I need it. Yes one bag of sand is very little to put in the box, but my kitty didn’t mind.

Needed to get a urine sample but nothing in bladder while at the ERVet Hospital. I had no idea urine collection kits were on the market. I went to chewy app and found this kit, to my surprise. I should have read the directions first and used all 3 Bags of sand. It wound have been easier for Jade to pee and easier to collect urine. Urine on sand did pool for easy collection. But the rest was all over the litter pan. If I read the directions and not assumed. The 3 bags would have contained the urine. I will know better in the future if needed. I’m keeping an extra kit on hand, just Incase its needed.
