Is it safe to wash this toy in the dishwasher?

Answer by ChewyFeb 02, 2025
Regarding care and cleaning, we suggest Kong toys be washed in the sink using warm water, soap and a bottle brush or toothbrush. For truly tough gunk removal, Kong toys are top-rack dishwasher safe (skip the heated dry cycle). Running the dry cycle can degrade the rubber and reduce the longevity of the toy.

Puppy loves it

Puppy was super tired but insisted on continuing to play with this. Chewed until she conked out! Great for her!

Great for teething puppies but watch the ends for scraps that could be swallowed

like most toys of this texture, I notice aggressive chewers can nip away pieces, so they need to be watched and trimmed. Given that this is designed for teething,

Great

My pups LOVE this thing!!! Just be sure to get the correct size. We have had this for 6 months and they chew it voraciously and it’s still in good shape.

Not good for my 4 month old pup

My pup chewed part of the rubber off within 24 hours of having this toy. She only played with it a couple of times.

My puppy loved licking peanut butter from this Kong and gnawing on it. However, it only lasted a few sessions before she managed to eat some pieces. Thankfully it seems they have passed, but I guess it’s time to upgrade. For reference, she is a 3 month old spaniel.

Kong stick sucks

Thought it would be great way to give my new puppy a peanut butter treat. She couldn't get everything out and didn't enjoy it for teething.
