This toy is tough however, no dog toy is truly indestructible, so always remove the toy from playtime if pieces begin to break off. KONG Tug is an interactive toy, not a chew toy.

Can you wash this in the dishwasher?

It is best to hand wash these toys, however, the KONG tug toy can be washed on the top-rack of your dishwasher.

Our dogs love playing tug of war with this Kong toy. Whether with humans or with each other it gets a fair bit of use. Hilariously one of our dogs struggles to understand that you are not supposed to use it from the side and we have to get him to rotate it in his mouth to play properly. But it works either way and seems quite durable.
