Instructions
Machine wash gentle cycle, air dry or tumble dry low. / Easy-On instructions for the Base Layer: Take the Base Layer out of the travel pouch and unzip it completely. With your dog standing up and facing towards you, gather the fabric of the neck portion in your hands so that you can easily slip it over your dog's head. Once you do so, the Kurgo logo on the chest should be visible and facing towards you.
Pick up your dog's foot and gently place each paw into the front sleeves. If your pup is wiggly it helps if you gather the fabric together beforehand, so her paws won't get stuck inside the sleeve.
With the back of the Base Layer still unzipped, carefully place both back paws into the remaining sleeves. Depending on your dog's size, you may need to adjust the sleeve length around all four paws so that the fabric won't drag on the ground. Once the fabric is fitted properly around your pup's legs, fasten the snap button at the base of the tail and zip up the zipper all the way to the base of the neck. Fold the zipper keeper over the end of the zipper. Wrap the belly band around your dog's stomach so that the fabric is fitted, but not too snug. The edges of the belly band will adhere to itself for a custom fit. Cinch the neck adjustment cord as needed. Go play!

Thought I’d write a review to help others with sizing. Sam is an English Springer Spaniel and weighs about 50 lbs. He has a long back: by his back measurements I should have gotten a large. But reading the reviews I purchased a M and it fits perfectly. It’s very stretchy but there’s plenty of room for his chest, it’s exactly the right length for his torso, and the legs come about halfway down his legs, which seems right. We won’t be using it until we hit snow next week as I bought to keep the snow balls at bay on his feathery fur.
Nice color, fabric, workmanship... BUT...

We have a 60lb hound. Your coat SHOULD have fit her. The neck is so small on this supposedly LARGE size that only a greyhound neck would be comfortable. The Zipper length runs almost halfway down her tail - back is WAY too long, like mastiff size. The legs are a joke, about 5-6 inches too long. Yes, would be easy to shorten. EXCEPT THE HUGE KNEE HOLES ARE SO LARGE THE OPENING HITS ABOUT 4" FROM HER FEET! Her paws get caught in the holes even with arm length pinned short. We bought this to cover her legs when she has sore spots where bandages won't stay put. So choked her, can't poop without getting on coat, legs a disaster. What good is workmanship if coat fits a st. Bernard butt, greyhound neck, giraffe legs, and a back as long as a dolphin?notes on this review say SMALL coat, we bought large. Neck on large is like a tight turtleneck. Massive failure, Stowe.
Sizing off! Good quality. 22lb Small.

It appears to be high quality. It's slightly thicker than what I was expecting which is good as I needed a warm base layer. It's still thin for layering though.

My dog has always loved cold weather and playing/walking in the snow. He is 14 now and gets easily chilled.and this base layer has him running around like a much younger dog again instead of running towards the door to get back inside. Thank you!
The look
It looked great at first, then the stitches on the leg started coming apart. I guess for the price I was expecting a better material. Could also be a just that

Works well as an underlayer in frigid weather
The small size fits my 10 lb. Yorkie well. Snug enough to keep out the cold and works well as an underlayer beneath her winter coat for walks in frigid weather

I got this as a base layer to keep my very southern dog warm while camping at night in 20 degree weather. Medium fits her well. She’s a boxer/ plot hound mix with the height of a plot hound and chest of a boxer. It’s good material, and I’m sure she’ll stay warm.

I bought this for my pittie husky mix to keep warm because he spends a lot of time outside as a farm dog. It seems durable and very warm. I had a hard time with the size chart and ended up ordering an xl which is too baggy.
